The Vatican Museum was incredible - I could have spent two or three whole days there. One day was simply not enough - there was too much to look at! Tapestries, paintings, statues, busts, artifacts, letters, books, scientific instruments, bones, relics, jeweled altar pieces...It was absolutely baffling that so much world knowledge and culture could have been collected over such a long period of time and housed in a place as small as Vatican City!
