La Melba is one of the restaurants bordering McAucliffe Square, the town center of Bastogne.

We had some good food, at reasonable price and conveniently cose to the parked motorbikes (right next to the Sherman tank !

If you're interested in anything World War 2, then this museum is one you shouldn't miss. Situated a few miles outside the town of Bastogne, a town so well known for the period of the Battle of the Bulge, it is very nicely laid out and houses a good collection of WW2 objects and vehicles.

Very nice souvenir shop too !

Ullapool's old fishing harbor is one of the few places on the Scottish west coast to visit. It's been a long time since we've been there, but it has always remained in our memories.

The current website shows us that not much has changed over the past 25 years.....

If you're a fan of medieval castles, than Switzerland is a great country! Since they didn't have wars of any significance lately, unlike the rest of the world, their old castles are all pretty well preserved.... and of course restored with Swiss precision where necessary !

Schloss Museum Thun is one of my favorites..... but you may also wish to drive down a little along the lake (Thuner See) to the town of Oberhofen. There's a great castle there too !!

This is a restaurant based on an old lighthouse ship, docked in the harbor. Need to watch for your head in some places, if you're tall. Very nice ambiance and good food !

Taking Tram Line 28, which is a 'roundtrip tram' ride through the old parts of Lisbon city, is one of the nicest things you can do. It is relaxing and you get to see many of the monuments and little streets... sure beats trying to drive your car there or walking !!

One of the few restaurants in the village. Reasonably good food, not too big a choice. Serves local dishes (Savoyarde).
