Stanley Park
I loved Stanley Park. The zoo. The totem poles. Just a neat area to visit and walk around.

Just a neat area to visit and walk around. ![]() Warsaw, Mazovia & Podlasie Region, Poland ![]() Added Feb 12, 2010 This area is a beautiful combination of the historical old and new Warsaw. Friendly people gather and walk through this area as they enjoy the sidewalk cafes and other eateries located in the square. A must see. ![]() Rome, Lazio Region, Italy ![]() Added Aug 26, 2009 This is where you throw in a coin to make a wish come true. The Rose Center is best known for its fall craft fair "Mountain Makings". Local artisans and craftsmen show their wears and workmanship, and there are demonstrations/shows by native Indians and dancers. ![]() Smyrna, Tennessee, United States ![]() Added Dec 5, 2008 A great place to hang out with the family. The park has a couple playgrounds, places to hold a picnic, and several tennis courts. In the summer the city offers movies in the park. For Memorial Day, fireworks are lit from this location. ![]() Canterbury, England, United Kingdom ![]() Added Dec 4, 2008 It is an enormously beautiful cathedral full of artifacts. It is also located in a beautiful region of England. A must see. ![]() Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada ![]() Added Nov 27, 2008 Absolutely beautiful, and even more so at night when the falls are lit up. Winter can be very outstanding as well with the ice and snow built up around the falls. ![]() Tulum, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico ![]() Added Nov 24, 2008 An awesome location with Mayan Ruins. A great place for historians to view. Not to mention an awesome view of the ocean. ![]() Playa del Carmen, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico ![]() Added Nov 24, 2008 The wildlife is spectacular and the water a brilliant Caribbean blue. A great location for a honeymoon. ![]() Nashville, Tennessee, United States ![]() Added Nov 23, 2008 A large resort like hotel. Lots of shopping and dining. The gardens that are built within the hotel, not to forget the river (and yes, you can take a ride down the river), are spectacular. The scenery is changed with the seasons. The best time to go is after Thanksgiving for the Christmas season. The property is donned in Christmas Lights and the gardens are dressed up for the season. ![]() Captain Cook, Big Island, United States ![]() Added Nov 23, 2008 It is located near Hilo to the south, where the cruise ships dock. This is where Captain Cook landed during his voyage. A monument and small mueseum stands at this spot. ![]() Venice, Florida, United States ![]() Added Nov 23, 2008 A nice quiet beach. At this beach you can collect seashells and shark's teeth. ![]() Saint Martin, Guadeloupe ![]() Added Nov 23, 2008 Nice beach with strong European influence. Namely French. Some nudity. Mainly people who have things dragging and look much better with their clothes on. ![]() Orlando, Florida, United States ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 The place to be a kid again. No matter how old you are, when you walk thru the Magic Kingdom you cannot help but being a kid. The land of Mickey Mouse and friends can only bring pleasant memories and make dreams come true. Epcot gives you a taste of various countries and regions of the world all in one place. MGM Studios give you the look and feel of Hollywood. The Animal Kingdom is like going on a safari or one of the world's largest and best zoos. A large selection of accommodations at rate levels, making a vacation here possible for everyone. ![]() Sunrise, Florida, United States ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 Shopping, shopping, shopping. Dining and dining. This is a huge outlet mall where you should find what you are looking for and a great price. There are various dining options that include the Famous Cheesecake Factory. Of some of the discount stores and outlets available here are Marshalls, TJMaxx, Ross, JCPenney Outlet, and Saks. This also a movie theatre located here. It is a great place to hang out when that fabulous Florida sunshine isn't shining or you simply have had enough sun for one day. ![]() Freeport City, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 Be sure to take a taxi to the beach of a local resort. They will charge you a fee to use their facilities for the day. If you are cruising, take one of the excursions they have to offer. ![]() Philipsburg, Netherlands Antilles ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 The beach here is clean and convenient. Especially if you are coming off of a cruise ship. Taking the water taxi from the pier to the downtown pier is the best way to get here. You can walk (a mile or two away) or take a taxi. You can rent a chaise lounge and an umbrella from one of the vendors along the beach. Shopping is just a short walk away, or it may even come to you. Little ladies selling their wears (souvenirs: bags, towels, shirts, etc.) all at very reasonable prices. You can dicker with them to get your special bargain. They will work with you. ![]() Knoxville, Tennessee, United States ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 The riverfront is a pretty place along the Tennessee River in Knoxville. It is a place where most of the city activities are held. A good example would be there fireworks show entitled "Boomsday". It is the largest fireworks show in the southeast U.S. A trip down the river on the Knoxville Star, a paddle boat ferry, is also a relaxing and pleasant trip to see the picturesque scenery. A place to eat great ribs is Calhoun's. ![]() British Virgin Islands ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 It is worth the short ferry ride over to the Baths in Virgin Gorda. It is absolutely spectacular and the water is clear and warm. This area is called the Baths because of the pools that are formed by large boulders and rocks. There is a short hike to the Baths area going down a steep hill, walking thru caves and maneuvering around rocks, and streams. I would not recommend this trip for anyone who has trouble walking or climbing. There is only one way back and that is uphill on a dirt path. ![]() Grand Cayman, Cayman Islands ![]() Added Nov 22, 2008 I guess, depicts what hell might look like. Eerie. Black rock formations. It is fun to say that you had been to Hell. I don't want to go to any other hell. I would rather be what I'd describe the rest of the island, Heaven. ![]() Saint Louis, Missouri, United States ![]() Added Nov 21, 2008 While in St. Louis be sure to visit the Arch. It is located on the river bank of the Mississippi River. Take the elevator car to the observation deck to see a spectacular view of the river and the cities on each side of it. Within the Arch itself it an Early American Settlers Museum. The lowdown on Linda K.What's this person like as a travel companion? What do their friends really think?
