Page 1 of 10 My Reviews![]() Cancun, Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico ![]() Added Jan 15, 2011 Great location close to nightlife and a short ride from the beach but also quiet enough to get some sleep. Great rates as well. We actually cut short our stay at a resort hotel to return here. ![]() Mililani Town, Oahu, United States ![]() Added Feb 15, 2010 Great place for lunch ro to hang out and get a beer. Food is good, plenty of different beers to drink and good looking waitresses. ![]() Hammamet, Tunisia ![]() Added Feb 15, 2010 Maybe because it was towards the end of my trip, but I found this area to have more pushy souvenir sellers than most places. I thought the fort was neat, and the beach was pretty, but I'd stay away from the shops there. Too "in-your-face" ![]() Salzburg, Salzburg State, Austria ![]() Added Jan 25, 2010 We went in the fall and the Gardens and buildings were Amazing. Definitely worth seeing when the place is in bloom. ![]() Atlantic Beach, North Carolina, United States ![]() Added Jan 24, 2010 This was always a stopp at least once a summer growing up when we went to the beach. Between the awesome indoor water exhibits, hands on displays (like playing with horseshoe crabs) and the trails outside, it is fun at any age. ![]() Salzburg, Salzburg State, Austria ![]() Added Jan 24, 2010 Very interesting and pretty surreal to be in the same place as such a musical genius. It is not overly long but well worth stopping in if you are at all interested in music and famous people from history. ![]() Bangor, Maine, United States ![]() Added Jan 24, 2010 I lived about a mile from here and my roommate and I would walk by it often. It was sometimes almost normal looking but often just kinda creepy and cool. Especially after reading several of SK's novels, I enjoyed passing by it and other book landmarks since it gave a real visualization to the stories. ![]() Idar-Oberstein, Rhineland-Palatinate Region, Germany ![]() Added Jan 24, 2010 This church was built into the side of a mountain as penance by a man. After a long walk up the steps, you arrive and see that half the church walls are ma made while the other half are the mountain side carved out. You can go to the top in the "bell tower" and get an amazing view of the town below. ![]() Tempe, Arizona, United States ![]() Added Nov 23, 2009 We always stop in here when overnight in Tempe. Awesome tunes, the band is very good and alot of fun. Always a good crowd. ![]() Boston, Massachusetts, United States ![]() Added Nov 23, 2009 Interesting but can get old quick if you don't take the opportunity to see other things along the trail. A good guide to get around the city though. ![]() Venice, Veneto Region, Italy ![]() Added Nov 12, 2009 Sitting on the Piazza in the summer with the various bands playing, the lights low and a fine glass of wine is perfection. ![]() En Gedi, South (The Negev), Israel ![]() Added Nov 12, 2009 Water is 33+ minerals and salt and the coast is a crusty shell over mud. While the water tastes horrid and burns a little if you have a cut, it is amazing how you float! A very amazing feeling and leaves the skin feeling so soft. ![]() Kairouan, Central Tunisia, Tunisia ![]() Added Sep 9, 2009 Incredibly impressive. Not only is it amazing inside, but some of the stones outside have Roman "writing" on them as they were confiscated from destroyed Roman settlements; ancient recycling. Get there early and don't go on a Friday. Good to combine seeing this with the Colosseum in El Jem. ![]() Genova, Liguria Region, Italy ![]() Added Jul 7, 2009 Probably one of the smallest attractions in the city is the home of Christopher Columbus. 4 Euros gets you in (7 adds a view from the gate tower near by) to see the home of the famed explorer. It is very small, but well done with see-through panes to the original foundations and several costumes from the period and artifacts. Most of all, it is an interesting peek into the past and a bit surreal to stand where Christopher stood when dreaming of sailing the world. If you are in the area, it's a must see. Also near by is plenty of other sights, so the stop is well worth it. ![]() Rothenburg ob der Tauber, Bayern Region, Germany ![]() Added Apr 11, 2009 Though it may look like it at first, this museum is much more that cages and torture devices. It is truly a walk through the development of legal systems. On the first couple floors, the exhibits focus on the instruments of prison life such as racks or other devices. However, the upper floors contain hundreds of legal books and documents from the past 500 years including marriage documents, treaties, edicts (secular and ecclesiastical), tradesman's certificates, tax documents, criminal law books and so on. For anyone interested in history, this is a must. Also has stuff on different money, the wax seal used and other things. Must see for here! ![]() Waianae, Oahu, United States ![]() Added Apr 11, 2009 A common dive site for boat and shore, this area is covered with arches and short tubes for diving or snorkeling in and around. There is some surge, but not bad. Also, a great place for spotting Honu (sea turtles). Careful, it is illegal to touch or harass, but bring a small bag of frozen peas and you might get to see them snack. ![]() Prague, Central Bohemia Region, Czech Republic ![]() Added Mar 16, 2009 Though lacking some typical hotel amenities (a pool or gym), this place isn't somewhere you'd want to waste your time at anyway. Prague is amazing and the Archibald puts you right in the center of it. Next to the Charles Bridge and on the river, we had a river view and basic yet comfortable room. The staff is attentive and friendly while service is very good and the food is top notch. I will definitely be making this my first choice when I go back. ![]() Prague, Central Bohemia Region, Czech Republic ![]() Added Mar 16, 2009 Though Prague is an amazing city and it is hard to pick one thing to love, the Charles Bridge (Karlova Mostu) is awesome. It is in the center of everything and it would seem that nearly everyone in the city would pass you at some point if you waited. During the day it is speckled with the artists of the city, selling paintings and jewelry. At night it is the perfect place for views of the city, lit in colors. At the far end (from the castle) is the bridge tower, which anyone can ascend for a better view around. It is quite amazing from the top. ![]() Orono, Maine, United States ![]() Added Jan 20, 2009 This was a great hangout when I lived in Orono and has since expanded. They make their own beer on site (it's awesome, try the Porter). Since I left, they expanded and added a club level and a second bar level with pool tables. Also have some wicked good pizza from the brick oven. ![]() Stuttgart, Baden-Wurttemberg Region, Germany ![]() Added Jan 4, 2009 This place is awesome at New Years! Feels like the city is exploding there are so many fireworks. Everyone is shooting them. But is it absolutely amazing to see. There is also an ice rink with beer and Gluhwein to keep warm.
