Great day out. Make sure you make it down to the beaches at some stage! - Houses to rent over the summer are easy to find (but rather expencive) and make sure you book mid-year. The golf course will take 3-4 hours to complete. Good value!

It's an "ok" beach in the Wellington area. Not very sandy -but a good place to fish and a high tide take a boat for a spin.

5 star Hotel - Right in the middle of town. Staff were great, service was great....... Close to a few attractions.

No the greatest. Would recommend a boating tour.

Very expencive but worth it. Not suited to kids. Great veiws, would make a great wedding spot (if you wanted a small one).

Super expencive , But super beautiful. Take a camera you will need it - Most people are super friendly, lot's of elderly tour groups from USA go here. Not super child friendly, Perfect for honeymooners, couples....

It's ok. A large beach, a few shops, some dairy's and superettes, Not a great attraction.

Cute town in Wellington - May be a nice pleace to rent a house while on holiday in Wellinton. City is not very far.

The movie Scooby Doo was filmed on this inland! just picture huge sand dunes, huge starfish and jellyfish! You can take a 4Wd accross via the boat. Lot's of tours and day trips. Island also has a hotel on it. You can swim around the sunken boats - Great fun!

Go to Toast Martinborough! - I went one year would go again anytime! - Fun day out. Tickets sell out within like 10 mins of going on sale so become "a friend" of the fest or buy corp tickets (like 50 min>) or get a visa card and do via the net.

Beach get's really hot first thing in the morning! Would recommend getting a boat and seeing all the little french polynesia islands at your own pace - as the tours can just whip past some hot spots.

Don't go unless it's a hot day. It was overcast when I went. Frezzzzzing as most things are outside. Really fun slides. Suited for 5-14 year olds. Have hot pools inside now. They also have mini golf. Fun way to kill a day!

Outlet shopping is down this way also! Beach can get windy in avo!

Make sure you take your credit cards or hepa of cash! - It's very expencive!!!! A bottle of water is $4 NZD and bag of chippies is $6 NZD - Good to see the culture. When you arrive in Tahiti a group meets you and gives you flowerd and sing and dance - very nice after an 8 hour flight! Markets are good.

Rather a lot of stones and very windy - Why not spend 10 mins more and drive to Eastbourne?? - Go on !

All you need is a boat!! Weather can change quick - so always take cellphone ect. Hire a batch / house and spend a few days. I think you can go on boating trips? not sure.

Avea is resort central! - Would recommend if you go to French Polynesia to go to islands North / west, so you can see the different veiws.

5 star to the MAX - Really close to the Sea Wolrd park. Would say it's not suited to families, but maybe couples as it's not very child friendly.  Pool is huge and beautiful, great service and staff. Rooms have an "old" and "antique" feel. Within 2kms are some shops (over priced!). Rooms are aprox $400+ NZD.

Great place to live! - Get's busy around summer months. Lots of space to have a picnic. Has a duck pond and tennis courts too.

great beach! Would recommend for a picnic, some great ice cream shops, dairy, superette, surfboard hire shops ect.

One of New Zealands most popular beaches. Lot's of white sand. I believe they have built a sand bar (out in the water) to create bigger waves for the surfers. Some cool shops too. About 2 mins from the beach are hot pools and spas - Really nice place to have a holiday. I have been up every year since I was a tot and can always think of something different to do. You can take a walk up the Mount - 2 tracks one "easy" one "hard" -but both fun. If you don't own a surfboard there are a few surf shops you can hire one for around $50-$90 a day - You can buy a 2nd hand one of around $260. Accom around the area differs, you can rent an apartment from $300 per/week or rent a private house for $800+, I think there are a few camp grounds, motels, hotels around. The Mt is not far from Matakana island (if you have a boat). I think you can go on a day trip and swim with dolphins.It gets very busy from Nov - Jan. It's still fun any other time of year is the weather is good, but if not Bayfair is the local shopping mall (all the chain stores, and Mc Donalds ect... Would say it's a MUST if you are in NZ.

Good fun if you are in to it. Not fun on a cold day - Also take a camera!

Palmerston north is Ok - has a few shops. The beach is the best part - Heaps of sea life, a million starfish. There is a camp site right on the beach (only con is it's about 5 meters from a railway track, so in the middle of the night you can hear the trains pass). Would only go back if I was passing through - Not a Holiday spot for me.

5 Star - Not child friendly

Great food -  A huge range for people who don't eat seafood. Expensive though. From memory NZD $80 per head not inc drinks.

Not the greatest. Stay closer to the Intercontental resort. The beaches are better or go to Moorea.

If you love nature you will love this. The waterfall is such a Spectacular sight. Lush bush surrounds the sight. It is very hot and humid so take a drink bottle. Some nature walks are all around. Towards the evening the bugs come out –So take some insect repellent.

Amazing to see. London is very close knit. Just down from Big Ben is Westminster Abbey and London Bridge. Watch out for the boat trips that take you down the River (they are great value as you get a commentary as you pass significant building / landmarks –Including the globe theatre. Not far from Big Ben is the aquarium and the London eye. Best advise is to pre-book tickets as lines to purchase can be ridiculously long. So much to do and see a few days in this area is a must.

Great fishing spots. Very luxurious. Best advise is to travel with a group / family and rent a house. It can be very isolated, but a magnificent experience. Dolphins are often spotted down there. Weather can be cold in the winter months and summer can get up to the early 30's.

Very isolated. Great beach, if you like tramping you can go up to the peaks and see wonderful veiws of the islands. Heaps of boats travel between all the islands - So a day trip would be a great way to see all the islands.

Kaikoura is a MUST in the south island of New Zealand. So much to do in this town. Swimming with dolphins is a must - If you don't wish to swim you can just sit on the boat. Seal and whale watching is a must also. Some tours can be rather expensive - It's best if you book as a group or family to take advantage of discounts. It can get cool in the winter so a warm coat is a must. Shopping is ok - Would not go here for the shops.

Great fun, loads of sandunes. It's a Blast if you take a 4WD around the dunes.

Could not get any better! - 5 stars. Rooms were of a good size, food was fab, staff were great - Could not ask for more.

You have to get a permit to get on the island. It has a nice veiw from the top, would only recommend if you LOVE nature. I went on a school trip about 5 year's ago, would not really want to return. The birds sometimes land on people - Not my thing.

First class. Very expencive but so beautiful. Not really for a family holiday, maybe best for a honeymoon? It's peaceful, a few shops at the resort. Not too much to do. Unless you like to swim and tan all day long. A 250ml bottle of coke-a-cola is $5 NZD.

Kowloon Bay is a great place for shopping. Lot's of things to do and see. The markets can be very busy and if you are not used to the smell of dead fish it can be awful. Would recommend for an experince.Go to Victoria peak too, only on a day with out smog / cloud.

Very sandy beach. Just hire a surfboard and make it a day trip. Very popular with surfers, tranquil and a must if you are up that way. Totally recommended.

Matakana island is a short boat trip from Katikati - It has a lot of sea life, such as stingrays, jellyfish ect. It's very private also (which is a good and bad thing).
