Just on the road to Vulci's archeological site, you will fine this lovely and very good restaurant. Home made food and good wine. You'd better book in advance if you are more than two/three people. Not very expensive.
4 star hotel in Old Taranto, just few steps away from San Cataldo. Brand new, very clean and elegant. The staff is extremely kind and cooperative. More info at the web site: http://www.hotelakropolis.it/
Astonishing Greek and Roman collections, including "gli Ori": craftsmanship in gold, dating between the 4th and the 2nd century BC. Brand new musuem (still in the process of restructuring) with modern conception, worth more than 5 euro ticket! A "must see" museum, at least once in your life. But be prepared: the Louvre Musuem is quite huge and very dense of astonishing masterpieces. Can defenetely be an exhausting experience.
Nice and young place, filled with very kind people. Inside the Old Library you can see the "Book of Kells". Worth a visit the Chapel, the Dining Hall and the College Park also.
It is an incredible place where you can "touch history". Very beautifull the emptiness of winter and sping time. During the summer, usually from June to early September, the Arena is one of the most amazing opera theatre of the world. A suggestion: if you plan to go to the opera, do not buy a step-stone ("gradinata") ticket if you are not in a good physical shape: there are no elevators and you sit directly on the stone. Much better a "poltroncina".
Very crowdy in spring and summer time, it only worth a quick visit. You can see the balcony from the inside yard but if you want to go inside and step on the balcony you have to pay the entrance fee.
Spectacular! It's in the town center of Verona, very close to the Arena. It's very well preserved and the view on Adige river is amazing. The museum inside worth a visit if you have time to spend in the city.
NIce, elegant and very social place. There are lots of bar, where you can drink a good glass of wine and eat something, nice shoops and amazing Medieval and Renaissance buildings.
