Unless a special event is happening - i.e. Christmas season, Thanksgiving Day Parade, etc. - its just an expansive, very busy department store. If you love to shop its still worth the crowds!

Loved it when I lived here. Upper west side is lovely and quiet to get out of the hustle and bustle of midtown. Subways, buses, and walking shoes are a must. Look for the places the locals go - and pass on tourist traps - you'll be happy you did.

Take the double-decker bus tour here at night. The lights from the bridge are amazing. Its absolutely beautiful and you end up in the heart of Times Square.
