These formations are absolutely phenomenal. They go all the way up the hillside, and they range in sizes from 2ft to over 6ft. So stunning.

So stunning. ![]() Pedasi, Los Santos Province, Panama ![]() Added Aug 30, 2009 There's a little bed and breakfast that we stayed at in Pedasi, it's absolutely sweet, and there's flowers everywhere. There's a ranchero in the back, strewn with hammocks and hanging chairs, and the breakfast is excellent. ![]() Isla Iguana, Los Santos Province, Panama ![]() Added Aug 30, 2009 Isla Iguana is an entire island just off the coast of Pedasi in the Bay of Panama that is protected as wildlife reserve. There's a boat shop in Pedasi that'll take you out (I don't remember what it's called) and you can circle the island, but not go ashore. On the way there you can see sea turtles, and lots of pelicans, but no dolphins (they make more of an appearance on the Caribbean side, and who can blame them?) ![]() Panama, Panama Province, Panama ![]() Added Aug 30, 2009 The city is fantastic, it's the second largest in the country, and where I lived for 11 months. (I can still give you the street address and everything) It's an hour and a half drive to Las Lajas, and it's about an hour up into Boquette, which is a little town (so little you can walk from end to end in about 20min) at the base of the Chiriquí Highlands. David can get pretty hot, I think the hottest I've ever seen was about 109 degrees Farenheit. Downtown's pretty awesome, there's a huge park that takes up the center of it, and people set up mobile shops and such under the shade of the trees. All the parrots in the city go there to roost, so around twilight it's really noisy, but awesome, because they come in flocks of like, 10 or so (when they're usually only in 3's) The lowdown on KateWhat's this person like as a travel companion?
