Well worth the drive down the Keys. Beautiful scenery. Expensive to visit the State Parks. Plenty of motels along the way. Try the Key Lime Pie.

The church has internal murals by an Italian painter. Tremendous. Well worth a 20 minute stop.

Bright is worth visiting in each season, but spring and autumn are magnificent. Autumn leaves, spring flowers, beautiful walks, lovely environment.

See it before it sinks!

The Intramuros is an historic walled city built by the Spanish in Manila. It is well worth visiting with a good guide to get an informed history of colonialism in Manila. Allow 3 hours and make sure you visit San Augustin Church.

Mt. Amuyao is the third highest mountain in the Philippines. It took us 5 1/4 hours to get to the peak with our guide (who was carrying a 40 kg bag of sand on his shoulder). He, and his village companions, usually make the ascent in 2-4 hours. It was muddy and wet on the day we went. You can do the return trip as we did, or continue on to Puli and to Banaue (with overnight gear). We came down in 4 1/4 hours. From the top you get fantastic views (as long as the mountain is not shrouded in mist or clouds).

You need to have a guide to visit this cave. Better still go with a guide to the "Burial Cave" with coffins up on the walls and travel underground, coming out through the limestone cave. All you need is a shirt, 'bathers/swimmers' or shorts and 'flip/flops' (which are inexpensive locally) and, of course, a camera. Great fun, great challenge and great formations.

Along the banks of the Han River is a most relaxing collection of parks, entertainment, sports facilities, etc. The locals make good use of this area on weekends and evenings in good weather. Hardy individuals can be seen there at almost any time. You can hire a bike, enjoy street food, watch lovers romance, families stroll, children frolic, and appreciate the Korean passion for enjoying themselves in their very limited 'free' time.

A wonderful respite from the hurly-burly of the city. It houses temperate rain-forest vegetation, trees from around the world, a diverse collection of succulents, and many rare and beautiful plants and trees. It is also a most relaxing venue in all seasons.
