life would be boring if we only stayed in one place.
Perfect meal:
Sushi and prime rib. They don't really go together, but what the heck.
I wish they invented:
Teleporter. I don't enjoy long plane rides all that much.
Last thing I broke:
My backpack. Technically it is still functional, but it has been losing straps and pieces for a while.

It all started on a rainy day in Vancouver (well, I'm not sure if was raining or not, but it was October in Vancouver) back in 1978. Since then, I've been firmly ensconced in Vancouver, but with frequent forays around the world.
Banff National Park is one of the jewels of the Canadian park system. The setting and scenery amongst the Rockies is very impressive and well worth the trip from Calgary (and further away).
The Ngorongoro Crater is home to some of the greatest concentrations of wildlife in the world. Some of the many highlights include elephants, leopards, and zebras. The zebras made for some interesting sights as they blocked the road ahead of us. There are even some rare black rhinos in the park, although you need to be a bit lucky to get close to one. They like to stop moving far from the vehicle paths.
On the downside, the crater can get quite crowded with other safari vehicles, so you lose some of the "in the wild" feel. As well, the animals tend to be a bit more acclimatized to humans than the Serengeti.
East Prasat Top is an unremarkable site that is probably only of interest to dedicated archaeologists. I'd rather spend time looking at fully formed temples.
The Clink prison makes for a worthwhile short diversion if you are in the area. There are some interesting exhibits and depictions of punishments and torture devices used during medieval London, as well as some history about the Clink itself. The museum is fairly small for what you pay though as 5 pounds seems a little steep, but that price is not hugely out of line for London.
Versailles is a massive royal palace that would have to rank as one of the best in the world. It was built at the height of French powers and turned into the largest palace in the world. It is truly a palace befitting those absolute monarchs.
In addition to the size, the opulence of the palace is quite amazing and grand, while the garden make for a nice refreshing and pleasant contrast.
A definite must-see while in the Paris region. I've been there twice, and would go a third time if I went to Paris again.
There are many good hiking trails around Grouse Mountain, ranging from the very popular Grouse Grind to part of the Baden-Powell trail.
The Grouse Grind isn't particularly enjoyable since it has no real views until you get to the top, and is pretty much non-stop uphill slogging. It is an excellent way to get in shape though, and a bit of a local phenomenon.
He's the only guy I know who keeps using his busted up backpack up and down and across countries and continents. The thing is ugly, it's broken, it's dirty, straps are flying, and it's not even comfortable. I therefore must conclude it is Aaron's high tolerance and determination to persist and persevere with sub-optimal conditions.
Actually, I think Eric is also using a broken backpack. Scratch that. Make him the only 1 of 2 that I know. :p

Going to Belgium and realizing on the train that I had left my passport in France...visiting mushroom museums in the Val de Loire and trying to get back to work in time after nearly missing the train...sitting in the stiffling hot Nairobi airport with no local currency...falling asleep on the train from Versailles and ending up in Euro-Disney...trying to get Aaron's luggage home from the Hong Kong Airport to Tseung Kwan O...multi-time zone marketing contests...web sites after web sites...and that's not even the 1/2 of them!
