Hot House is an affordable and relaxing place to hang out with the girls. The massages are ok, but on a cold and rainy seattle day the hot tub and sauna are fantastic.

The Isla de Ometepe is beautiful and majestic. Stay at Finca Magdalena for a truly rustic experience. Climbing the volcanoes is a tough adventure- you have to start early and get back late. Make sure you bring everything you need there- no convenient stores in sight. Sunscreen and a water bottle is a MUST. Very easy to get dehydrated climbing the mountain.

Explore the maze of bunkers that are fun to explore and play in all day. Start in the morning, bring a picnic lunch, a flash light, and even if it is warm outside you might want a light long sleeve shirt- the bunkers go deep and get cold. Stroll along the beach as well.

A great day hike! Prime spot for photos. Definitely best to go first thing in the morning to avoid the tourist groups.

This rafting company is great! The guides all have a great sense of humor, and will definitely give you a fun time. Plus the food afterward is really yummy.

The Gold Museum is a great free thing to do on a rainy day. The Pre-Columbian gold is really neat to check out. Plus, they always have some local artist showcase some work. Grab some ice cream at the Pops next to the Museum, or a pastry right around the corner afterward.

Arenal is gorgeous. When the clouds part, you can see the whole mountain. Very majestic. Also, if you are lucky, you can catch lava at night. The canopy tour is the best- super high, super long, some sections go right over the waterfall. Stay away from the Hot Springs- super touristy, expensive, not worth it.

Long white beach with green and blue water. The waters are filled with star fish. Bring a towel, a good book, and goggles and you are set for a beautiful day at the beach. The restaurant is really nice too- situated right on the beach, and the fish is super fresh.

Fantastic place to kick it with friends and a big grill. Everyone drinks there, but be really careful of the police because even though they don't seem to personally care, they always write tickets for ANY containers of alcohol. During the day enjoy a big barbque and volleyball, in the evening hang out in drum circles with hippies (I'll be there, be sure to say hi) and big old rusty barrels that are used for bonfires. Definitely bring a musical instrument at night time! Yoga mat during the day.

Capitol Hill is a great place for bars and sight seeing! Check out the War Room on Wednesdays for 80s night, Havana for clubbing, Halo for salsa, Century Ballroom for cheap dance classes at night time for an hour and then all night dances and drinking.

The zoo is nice, but keep a critical eye on some of the exhibits, the one where it talks about "African villages" is a little disturbing. However, it is worth it to visit the area where they keep animals from the PNW. I had fun hanging out with big ole bears.

The Broadway Grill is a great place to grab a bite and a drink. Food takes a while, and the servers might have better things to do than serve you, but the environment is fun, food tasty, and the drink specials are delicious.

Isla de Ometepe is fantastic! Be prepared to get dirty- the hiking is stellar. Definitely stay at Finca Magdalena- the food is good and it is an extremely relaxing place.

The Augusta Mall is not worth a visit. If you want good mall shopping, drive the 3 hours to the Lenox Mall in Atlanta. It's huge, with lots of variety in style. If you need clothes in Augusta, check out the nice boutiques downtown. Much more worth your time.

Museum of Modern Art is a must see in NY. If you can only go to one art museum in NYC, go to this one. The new exhibits are fresh, modern, creative, and extremely original. You won't be disappointed, and certainly not bored.

Discovery Park is located on a former military fort, but there is not military feel at all. It's situated on a beautiful cliff overseeing the Puget Sound. Come on a sunny day, bring a picnic, friends, frisbees, volleyball, and a good camera. This place is great for an all day gathering.

Hands down the best Greek food in Seattle. Authentic, Greek family owned and operated, and it has an adjacent Greek bakery for the pastry inclined. Also, there are language dinners all through the week, so if you are foreign and traveling in Seattle, this is the place to go to speak in your native tongue and meet new friends!

This is my favorite cafe to hang out, drink a beer or coffee or tea, read a newspaper, or chat with friends. Very chill, nice people, and there is internet access. It is located in the U District, so it is very convenient if you are visiting the University.

The only lesbian bar in Seattle. The food is great, and the drinks cheap. This is a great place to meet people of all types, straight, gay, or somewhere in between! Also a good place for travelers because everyone here is friendly, outgoing, and willing to give you tips on the coolest places in Seattle.

Take a boat down to the water, but bring a rain coat! Not only is it cold, but very wet. I highly suggest visiting in the winter when there are fewer tourists and the falls look spectacular with the ice.

I had a lot of fun staying here. I stayed here for four days, and it was extremely relaxing. You can sleep on rice bag cots in a really big room for super cheap, or check out the smaller rooms with mosquito nets. Go to sleep to the sounds of howler monkeys and bats. Bring a good book or three because they have hammocks and it's rustic- plenty of good reading time. Also bring hiking shoes and long pants and ask someone to talk you to the coffee fields. It's beautiful to hike there. Lots of petroglyphs in the woods.

Fun to go with friends on a hot summer day. Make sure you look out for coupons while in Georgia, check coke and diet coke cans for buy 2 get 1 free. If you plan on eating, bring a lunch! Food is super expensive.

Bocas del Toro is amazing! Long white beaches with palm trees and warm green water. The night life is great! Ladies Night is every night, La Iguana and Bar elcondito were my favorite bars. Make sure you have lots of single dollar bills- there are guys who boat around in little motor boats and if you pay them a doller or two they will take you to lots of different beaches.

The Hammocks are really cool. Very fun to spend the night in a hammock. The food is good, but pricey. It's right on the beach and has a trail that leads to a bigger, sandier beach. Watch out for your stuff- some of the lockers were broken into while I was there. It's definitely a party hostel, the first night I was there was a toga party and jungle juice. If you have a sleeping bag you can sleep in a little pup tent. Watch out for mosquitoes! Also, there are lots of drugs around town, so be careful.

Free Internet and cheap drinks are plusses. Very good place to get started in your Costa Rica travels. Airport pick-up is nice, and they have shuttle services to other hostels around Costa Rica if you are tight on time and bussing it seems unmanageable. Go for the dorm rooms, they are the cheapest, but watch out for your stuff because there are no lockers.

Very peaceful, bring a digital camera and take tons of photos of flowers, bees, and bugs. Make sure you bring some reading material- very calm place to do some reading. Also check out near art galleries.

The Masaya Volcano is beautiful. Make sure to go up on the side to see a panoramic view of the valley. Additionally fantastic is the mile walk around a dormant crater to the side. Be sure to bring water and wear good hiking shoes.

You get to go on a cool tour that ends in a crazy fountain thing of every single coca cola drink product around the world, and the fountains end up in a mini cup so you get to taste all of them. Remember to keep a critical eye though- coca cola has violated numerous human rights in developing areas globally.
