Hot House is an affordable and relaxing place to hang out with the girls. The massages are ok, but on a cold and rainy seattle day the hot tub and sauna are fantastic.

I love meeting new people! I am always looking for a grand adventure. I especially love the ocean, and have always wanted to scuba dive. If you ever need a couch to crash in Seattle, shoot me a message. :) Travel ScorecardCountries See cities Map Loading! Page 1 of 10 My Reviews![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 31, 2008 Hot House is an affordable and relaxing place to hang out with the girls. The massages are ok, but on a cold and rainy seattle day the hot tub and sauna are fantastic. ![]() Isla de Ometepe, Southwestern Nicaragua, Nicaragua ![]() Added Oct 29, 2008 The Isla de Ometepe is beautiful and majestic. Stay at Finca Magdalena for a truly rustic experience. Climbing the volcanoes is a tough adventure- you have to start early and get back late. Make sure you bring everything you need there- no convenient stores in sight. Sunscreen and a water bottle is a MUST. Very easy to get dehydrated climbing the mountain. ![]() Port Townsend, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 29, 2008 Explore the maze of bunkers that are fun to explore and play in all day. Start in the morning, bring a picnic lunch, a flash light, and even if it is warm outside you might want a light long sleeve shirt- the bunkers go deep and get cold. Stroll along the beach as well. ![]() Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 28, 2008 A great day hike! Prime spot for photos. Definitely best to go first thing in the morning to avoid the tourist groups. ![]() Fortuna, Central Valley & Highlands, Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 28, 2008 This rafting company is great! The guides all have a great sense of humor, and will definitely give you a fun time. Plus the food afterward is really yummy. ![]() San Jose, San Jose & Surrounding Region, Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 28, 2008 The Gold Museum is a great free thing to do on a rainy day. The Pre-Columbian gold is really neat to check out. Plus, they always have some local artist showcase some work. Grab some ice cream at the Pops next to the Museum, or a pastry right around the corner afterward. ![]() Arenal, Northwestern Costa Rica, Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 28, 2008 Arenal is gorgeous. When the clouds part, you can see the whole mountain. Very majestic. Also, if you are lucky, you can catch lava at night. The canopy tour is the best- super high, super long, some sections go right over the waterfall. Stay away from the Hot Springs- super touristy, expensive, not worth it. ![]() Bocas del Toro, Bocas del Toro Province, Panama ![]() Added Oct 28, 2008 Long white beach with green and blue water. The waters are filled with star fish. Bring a towel, a good book, and goggles and you are set for a beautiful day at the beach. The restaurant is really nice too- situated right on the beach, and the fish is super fresh. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Fantastic place to kick it with friends and a big grill. Everyone drinks there, but be really careful of the police because even though they don't seem to personally care, they always write tickets for ANY containers of alcohol. During the day enjoy a big barbque and volleyball, in the evening hang out in drum circles with hippies (I'll be there, be sure to say hi) and big old rusty barrels that are used for bonfires. Definitely bring a musical instrument at night time! Yoga mat during the day. ![]() Douglas B. commented... Added Oct 29, 2008 Just keep writing, just keep writing, I`ll keep reading. :) ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Check out the website for upcoming events- this book store always has a hot new author coming by for book readings and signings. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Capitol Hill is a great place for bars and sight seeing! Check out the War Room on Wednesdays for 80s night, Havana for clubbing, Halo for salsa, Century Ballroom for cheap dance classes at night time for an hour and then all night dances and drinking. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Definitely awesome. Not only is it free, it is really cool. Bring a camera, friend, and booze and you are in for a good time. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 The zoo is nice, but keep a critical eye on some of the exhibits, the one where it talks about "African villages" is a little disturbing. However, it is worth it to visit the area where they keep animals from the PNW. I had fun hanging out with big ole bears. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Compline is a great free and relaxing thing to do on Sunday evenings. Bring a blanket and some friends and lie down on the floor in the entrance to the left. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 The Broadway Grill is a great place to grab a bite and a drink. Food takes a while, and the servers might have better things to do than serve you, but the environment is fun, food tasty, and the drink specials are delicious. ![]() San Francisco, California, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Expensive and touristy, but the ice cream is delicious. If you're in the tourist mood, this is the place to go for a great treat. ![]() San Francisco, California, United States ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Make sure you visit this historical book store! Curl up with your own City Lights copy of Howl or tons of other books it carries. ![]() Isla de Ometepe, Southwestern Nicaragua, Nicaragua ![]() Added Oct 27, 2008 Isla de Ometepe is fantastic! Be prepared to get dirty- the hiking is stellar. Definitely stay at Finca Magdalena- the food is good and it is an extremely relaxing place. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 Hana is a great place for affordable sushi in Seattle. It has a great relaxed environment, not romantic, a nice place for a casual date. The udon is also fantastic. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 Excellent sushi, and a really nice environment. Come here for a romantic evening. ![]() Augusta, Georgia, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 The Augusta Mall is not worth a visit. If you want good mall shopping, drive the 3 hours to the Lenox Mall in Atlanta. It's huge, with lots of variety in style. If you need clothes in Augusta, check out the nice boutiques downtown. Much more worth your time. ![]() New York, New York, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 Museum of Modern Art is a must see in NY. If you can only go to one art museum in NYC, go to this one. The new exhibits are fresh, modern, creative, and extremely original. You won't be disappointed, and certainly not bored. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 Discovery Park is located on a former military fort, but there is not military feel at all. It's situated on a beautiful cliff overseeing the Puget Sound. Come on a sunny day, bring a picnic, friends, frisbees, volleyball, and a good camera. This place is great for an all day gathering. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 Hands down the best Greek food in Seattle. Authentic, Greek family owned and operated, and it has an adjacent Greek bakery for the pastry inclined. Also, there are language dinners all through the week, so if you are foreign and traveling in Seattle, this is the place to go to speak in your native tongue and meet new friends! ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 This is my favorite cafe to hang out, drink a beer or coffee or tea, read a newspaper, or chat with friends. Very chill, nice people, and there is internet access. It is located in the U District, so it is very convenient if you are visiting the University. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 23, 2008 The only lesbian bar in Seattle. The food is great, and the drinks cheap. This is a great place to meet people of all types, straight, gay, or somewhere in between! Also a good place for travelers because everyone here is friendly, outgoing, and willing to give you tips on the coolest places in Seattle. ![]() Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Take a boat down to the water, but bring a rain coat! Not only is it cold, but very wet. I highly suggest visiting in the winter when there are fewer tourists and the falls look spectacular with the ice. ![]() Heredia, Central Valley & Highlands, Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Extremely touristy, but an overall fun experience. ![]() New York, New York, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 A truly historical experience. If you have an ancestor who was processed here, you can see their name on a plaque. ![]() Atlanta, Georgia, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 The Atlanta Braves are a hometown thrill. I love to spend a day here with friends, watching baseball and eating hot dogs. ![]() San Francisco, California, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Full of tourists, but a great place to walk around, people watch, eat some good food, and visit a small aquarium. ![]() Portland, Oregon, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 3 square blocks of books! Lots and lots of books. Worth a trip to Portland just to visit this place. Bring lots of cash because you will find first editions of your favorite authors, no problem. ![]() New York, New York, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Museum of Sex always has an interesting and engaging exhibit. Many of their exhibits are hands on. Learn about sex and American culture and then shop for cool trinkets in the gift shop! ![]() Isla de Ometepe, Southwestern Nicaragua, Nicaragua ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 I had a lot of fun staying here. I stayed here for four days, and it was extremely relaxing. You can sleep on rice bag cots in a really big room for super cheap, or check out the smaller rooms with mosquito nets. Go to sleep to the sounds of howler monkeys and bats. Bring a good book or three because they have hammocks and it's rustic- plenty of good reading time. Also bring hiking shoes and long pants and ask someone to talk you to the coffee fields. It's beautiful to hike there. Lots of petroglyphs in the woods. ![]() Washington, District of Columbia, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Lots of fun to walk around and check out the cool exhibits. ![]() Austell, Georgia, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Fun to go with friends on a hot summer day. Make sure you look out for coupons while in Georgia, check coke and diet coke cans for buy 2 get 1 free. If you plan on eating, bring a lunch! Food is super expensive. ![]() Montreal, Quebec, Canada ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Downtown Montreal is really gorgeous with lots of beautiful european looking buildings and cobblestone. ![]() San Francisco, California, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Chinatown is great. Touristy, but I have some good memories walking around when I was really young with my dad (he's chinese). Bring a strong bargaining voice and you can buy pearls and stones for cheap! ![]() Orlando, Florida, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Expensive and dirty. Don't go unless you are a young child/have young children in your care. ![]() Panama, Panama Province, Panama ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Bocas del Toro is amazing! Long white beaches with palm trees and warm green water. The night life is great! Ladies Night is every night, La Iguana and Bar elcondito were my favorite bars. Make sure you have lots of single dollar bills- there are guys who boat around in little motor boats and if you pay them a doller or two they will take you to lots of different beaches. ![]() Puerto Viejo, Carribean Coast, Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 The Hammocks are really cool. Very fun to spend the night in a hammock. The food is good, but pricey. It's right on the beach and has a trail that leads to a bigger, sandier beach. Watch out for your stuff- some of the lockers were broken into while I was there. It's definitely a party hostel, the first night I was there was a toga party and jungle juice. If you have a sleeping bag you can sleep in a little pup tent. Watch out for mosquitoes! Also, there are lots of drugs around town, so be careful. ![]() San Jose, Costa Rica ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Free Internet and cheap drinks are plusses. Very good place to get started in your Costa Rica travels. Airport pick-up is nice, and they have shuttle services to other hostels around Costa Rica if you are tight on time and bussing it seems unmanageable. Go for the dorm rooms, they are the cheapest, but watch out for your stuff because there are no lockers. ![]() Rye, New York, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Best child memories are paddle boating, riding roller coasters, eating elephant ears and ice cream. Love it. ![]() New York, New York, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Very peaceful, bring a digital camera and take tons of photos of flowers, bees, and bugs. Make sure you bring some reading material- very calm place to do some reading. Also check out near art galleries. ![]() Mui Wo Kau Tsuen, Hong Kong (SAR) ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Light some incense, make a wish, pray for your passed ancestors. Gorgeous views! ![]() Masaya, Managua & Surrounds, Nicaragua ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 The Masaya Volcano is beautiful. Make sure to go up on the side to see a panoramic view of the valley. Additionally fantastic is the mile walk around a dormant crater to the side. Be sure to bring water and wear good hiking shoes. ![]() Seattle, Washington, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 Gorgeous, lovely to walk around, best to enjoy on a sunny day. Bring some good walking shoes or a bike or rollerskates, a dog, a frisbee, or dancing shoes! A really great space to get some fresh air. ![]() Atlanta, Georgia, United States ![]() Added Oct 22, 2008 You get to go on a cool tour that ends in a crazy fountain thing of every single coca cola drink product around the world, and the fountains end up in a mini cup so you get to taste all of them. Remember to keep a critical eye though- coca cola has violated numerous human rights in developing areas globally. The lowdown on Ceci C.What's this person like as a travel companion?
