One of the better known ancient world monuments, lives up to its name providing enough of history and views to satisfy everyone. Easy access, relatively cheap plus there is now a modern museum with all the exhibits (still under partial construction as far as i know). 

If you are in Athens, can't miss it!!

It is called "Good View Restaurant" but there is actualy NO view... the food is decent Chinese food and people who run it don't speak English... Still, many locals seem to prefer it and it is quite cheap and fresh food....

Recommended for people who are not afraid :-)

If you are up to it, you can climb to the Palamidi Castle through these 999 steps. Mind, there are no luxuries and only few places to rest (larger steps) so pack lots battles of water and (if needed) food.

I personally think it is worth the trouble and it makes for a far better experience than the castle itself.

The ancient theatre with the great acoustics is the most prominent monument, as only ruins to the ground were left from the site of the ancient Olympic Games.

Worth a visit if you are into ancient monuments and sites.

Great Views of Athens (actually the only place for views of the city), also sports a theatre where cool concerts happen regularly (the magic is that you can just sit around and listen, without having to pay) and also at the very top a church and restaurant.

There also exists a cable car but is in the mountain (no views). So... it's only if you don't want to walk or pay for taxi.

Beautiful view of the city (actually the only central hill of the city) and great concerts at the theatre on top of it!! 

Also, you can climb to the very top to the church and restaurant or just take the cable car (in the mountain, sadly no views)

The volcano itself is a not so long walk through hot sand and rocks... seldom you can see a bit of smoke... and that's all....

the TRIP to get there though, is quite nice, with hot sea swims, etc...

One of the more well preserved ancient sites in Greece. Lots of culture to suck your teeth into, both at site and at the museum.

Moreover, the outlying area is really beautiful in Spring, so you are advised to make your trip then!

Lots and lots of people, day and night.... 

... shopping, shopping, shopping.... 

If shopping brands is your thing, this is paradise!!! If not... well, brand shopping brings in with it lots of entertainment options and lots of crowds too froim all walks of life (mostly the "trendy one" though)

A great island for couples! (and apparently chinese women that come here in groups of 4 or 5 usually).

The sunset is not to be missed, while the beaches are top quality and have sth for all tastes (sand, rock, deep, shallow, etc).

However, the only drawback is the abundance of "traditional" things and souvenir shops, that become a bit too much after some days.

You should go there, even for just reminding yourself the horrors of human nature. There is also a quiet large museum with many exhibits about the rise and fall of such camps, that is worth seeing.And don't forget it is a part of recent European history and something we can all learn something from.

Beware: there is not much left from the camp itself, just 2 or buildings and the fence.

You can find almost everything here (including cinemas), but be aware of the scummers and pickpockets!

It starts off the Bund, the first half is a pedestrianized shopping street, then it goes off as a car highway that crosses lots of differenet neighbourghoods. You can see both skyscrapers and poor rundown houses along it. 

Tip: Be careful on its first half, lots of scammers out for tourists!

As Cornelia says, and be sure not to miss the video with the "Vienna Philarmonic New Year Concert Extracts". If you have never seen it before you should do yourself a favour and see it!

PS: here is its official shop too. Best place to buy old CDs of their performances and rare stuff. Bit overpriced though

A chain of restaurants when one can eat lots of food at quite reasonable (even cheap at times) prices! The name comes from the trend to order some dishes (bread for example) in centimeters than portions.

Austrian name: Zentimeter

A neo-classical building, that puts to shame many such buildings in Greece (if I might say). Excellent structure and statues all around, didn't have a chance to go inside though.

If  you are a touist in Vienna you won't miss it anyway as it is on the RingStrasse (main tourist attraction road).

If you can, ignore the cosplayers (they are mostly there on Weekends anyway) and the trendy crowds and go to the marvelous Park!! Really worth your time!

PS: for shopping freaks, this is the place for you ;) Full of trendy shops!

Didn't go there. It was FAR TOO CROWDED and pickpockets are a plague in Prague. And as it is mostly a "souvenir alley" i was not interested. Depends on what you want from your journey actually.

Beautiful, yet very cheap. Not to miss if you are around (for example in Vienna). You can see most in one day excursion and having spent less than 10 euros (including food)!! 

BUT, it is a bit dirtier than other cities and some monuments are left without attention for some time...

A great "old city centre" with lots of classic buildings and churches. Outside it though... the city is dark, gloomy and damp... Still, there are many places to eat and mini-markets that are open till late.. and overall it is quite easy to get around.

BEWARE OF THE PICKPOCKETS THOUGH!!!!

I write this about Roppongi Hills actually: a really trendy and beautiful luxurious set of appartments, cafes, restaurants in Tokyo.

Overall, it is very nice and, well... all you might expect from a trendy place... but if trendiness is not your cup of tea (like me), just enjoy the !great view! (in my opinion the best of all the skyscraper Tokyo views i had)  from Mori Tower and move on!!
