Tamara Thiessen is a freelance writer, photographer and broadcaster from Australia. Over the past two decades she has worked across news, current affairs and programme production for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, SBS Multicultural Services, Deutsche Welle and Agence France Presse; and as a freelance correspondent in Europe, written for newspapers including the Toronto Globe & Mail, the Montreal Gazette, the Sydney Morning Herald, the Melbourne Age, Sunday Business Post (Ireland), the South China Morning Post and Singapore Straits Times. Amid constant globetrotting, her travel-inspired reports and photographs have been published in magazines worldwide including Condé Nast Traveller , Islands , Ulysse Magazine (France), GEO Australasia and the in-flight publications of US Airways, Delta Airlines, Air Emirates, SN Brussels, Jet Star, LAN Airlines and Air Jordan. She is working on her first book of travel literature: Planet Ends: Beyond Temptation in Tasmania.
