I organsied my Fathers 80th birthday at this hotel as he lives around the corner from Westport so it worked out well so he doesn't have to travel. The staff were the friendliest people I have met, and their managers were exceptional. There wasn't one hiccup in the whole 3 day stay including the birthday event. The events hall is lovely and large, well lit and well staffed. 
I would recommend the Westport Inn to anyone after a function with accomodation. 

I stayed here last weekend on a quick business trip to New York. I am not normally one to write reviews for 1 night stays but this one was different. What stood out for me was the location. There are subway stops on every block near the hotel so it was very easy to get to. I had a quick tour of Central park which just happens to be a 30 second walk to get to.  The service was pretty top notch - I ordered room service on the Saturday night and was surprised at how delicious the food was. Go for the chicken! The most succulent piece I've ever eaten.  With clean rooms, great service, nice sized bedrooms, close to a metro - what more could you want?
